Drunken Man Talks!

Star witness Lingam takes the stand

Malaysiakini today reported, the most popular lawyer in Malaysia took a stand at 12.30pm as the 13th witness at the royal commission tasked to investigate the tape. Lingam did told the commission that he knew both tycoon Vincent Tan and his business partner, Tourism Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. He said his law firm is one of Tan's Berjaya Group panel lawyer and had also done personal legal work for the tycoon since 1991.

Lingam also said that he knew Tengku Adnan since 1990 when he was the executive director of Berjaya Group. Whether or not he is drunken and mad, you guys judge yourself.

'It looks like me, it sounds like me'

However, he said Loh Mui Fah - the businessman whose son recorded the video during the dinner seven years ago - was never his client.

“He has never been my client. I can establish that. But his father was a client once. To the best of my recollection, I have not done legal work for him or acted as his lawyer at any time.” Lingam was then shown the full video clip. When asked whether he was the man in the video, he said: "It looks like me, it sounds like me." Deputy public prosecutor Nordin Hassan then reminded Lingam that previous witnesses had testified that it was him in the video.
"No matter what people, my answer is still the same - it looks like me, it sounds like me."
He said he would not go beyond this until the original video clip is produced.
"I have consulted my experts, and the only way to determine the truth is to examine the equipment that took the video and the original tape."

blog it
However, Lingam or err .. (the man who looks and sounds like Lingam) denied that it was Ahmad Fairuz that he was talking to on the other end. Lingam came out with another revelation indeed!

“I don’t know who I was speaking to but certainly I wasn’t speaking to Ahmad Fairuz because I never had his mobile number and he didn’t have mine either.”

Lol! If I was Deputy public prosecutor Nordin Hassan, I wish to ask Lingam this "Are you drunk and mad, Lingam?" What will be Lingam's answer? Look no further.

"Correct! Correct! Correct!"

ciao!
